AT&T Wireless Retail Stores -
Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Minnesota, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Iowa, Nebraska and Missouri
In June of 1996 Kern Konstruction was awarded the contract for build outs of their Midwest regional territory. In six months Kern Konstruction completed 21 - 2,500 to 3,500 square food units. This assured AT&T retail coverage for their regional launch of the new digital cellular network. Working with AT&T’s regional development executives Kern Konstruction assisted in streamlining their construction program by coordinating and controlling customer vendors. To date Kern Konstruction has completed over 300 new units and 100 were open store and night work remodels.

Blockbuster Video - Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Kentucky, Ohio and Canada
In 1986, when only two blockbuster video stores existed in the world, Kern Konstruction became involved with the original franchise company. Kern Konstruction was immediately involved with developing their, concept, design, construction systems and ultimate expansion. Kern Konstruction is proud to have completed over 750 units. This includes the video stores, Blockbuster Music stores and Discovery Zones. Kern Konstruction also performed many acquisition conversions.

SpinCycle Coin Laundry - Illinois
SpinCycle Coin Laundry through Kern Konstruction has opened 33 new units and three acquisition remodel units in the Chicago area. The scope of work on the SpinCycle projects has ranged from complete structural rehabilitation and finish out of existing sites to new ground up construction. In the complex mechanicals involved in the large up-scale laundry facilities, Kern Konstruction has set the precedence for quality construction and value engineering of stores throughout the country.

Bettenhausen Dodge - Tinley Park, Illinois
Kern Konstruction worked closely with the client to transform an older smaller building into a modern two-story new car showroom and offices. Kern Konstruction also constructed a ground up used car sales and service building. All this work was performed while the dealership continued business.

Despos Custom Tailors - Chicago, Illinois
Completed build out for a third floor custom tailor shop, located in Chicago’s gold coast area.

7-11 Stores - Chicago and Suburbs, Illinois
To date Kern Konstruction has completed seven new store build outs.

Hilti Tool Repair & Supply - Chicago, Oak Lawn and Addison, Illinois
Complete conversion of an existing space into a warehouse and retail store for the Oak Lawn location. Addison was a complete demolition and new built complete with a repair center.

Yasseen’s Jewelry - Naperville, Illinois
This old established jewelry firm relocated to Naperville. Kern Konstruction was selected to complete the interior build out. This project involved some interesting aspects. One was the relocation of an antique safe door for the new walk-in safe, the other was a waterfall structure just inside the entrance. To add a special touch the carpet was hand sculptured.

Petco - Chicago and Suburbs, Illinois
Kern Konstruction provided construction management services for five new build outs.

Homemakers Furniture - Chicago, Downers Grove and Orland Park, Illinois
Kern Konstruction completed corporate office remodeling and total showroom remodels at three locations.
